Applications for aid are reviewed and carefully considered by a grant committee |

Each request is evaluated based on pre-established criteria including need and availability of funds. |

Except in unusual circumstances, grants are paid directly to the service provider (i.e. the utility company) not the patient. |

Once a completed application is received aid is often delivered within days. |
